The Boston Nova is a new variant of the perennially popular clog by Birkenstock. It’s a noticeably more technical take on the model in its textile upper and webbed strap in place of the usual suede and buckle combo. There’s a nubuck toe bumper, loosely reminiscent of the Dior Tokio, sans four-figure price tag of course.
Staying material side, the textile is reminiscent of a lightweight ballistic nylon, which is cinched by a seatbelt-like midfoot strap running through a G-hook buckle. It’s a faster and more adjustable way to get the perfect fit. The cork footbed will take the usual amount of time to break in, though – but as every Birkenstock fan can attest to, it’s definitely worth the effort.
